This is going to be my first in a series of Small Business Spotlights! I’ve met so many wonderful people with small businesses over the last few years and I feel that this is the perfect platform to give those amazing people a mention.
We either know, or can well imagine, how hard it is to build a small business from the ground upwards, but when I come across people with these ideas and dreams and the passion they have for making them successful I have huge admiration!
So first up this week is the lovely Felicity from Cheeky Chairs, I met Felicity just over a year ago at a workshop and I could see the passion she had for her business straight away and how she was determined to make it work. We meet up regularly at networking events and I’m now delighted to be working with her.
Cheeky Chairs is a collection of beautifully crafted designer chairs and bar stools. Traditional craftsmanship and quality materials mean they are chairs that will last a lifetime and take a special place In your home.
Felicity’s passion for traditionally crafted wood, that came from her dad, combined with her love of fashion, pattern and colour led her to start combining the two resulting in boutique chairs adorned with the most fabulous designer fabrics from the likes of Matthew Williamson, Liberty London and Christian Lacroix! These are statement chairs that can hold their own as a stand along piece.
There is also a subtlety to Cheeky Chairs, along with the bright and bold you can also choose from the beautifully subtle cottons, to the sumptuous velvets and the traditional ticking fabrics, meaning there is something for everyone.
Cheeky Chairs offers a bespoke personalised service, you can choose the style of chair you love, you can then choose the colour of that chair and finally decide on the upholstery from the wealth of fabrics on offer, this means you will own something truly individual that is crafted just for you.
All Cheeky Chairs are made from sustainably sourced woods, then hand painted and crafted to the highest specification in Kent. All the seat pads are made using natural materials, for example pure wool, hessian & calico and all materials have a fire-retardant barrier lining. Whilst these chairs may well cost more than some mass-produced items that can be purchased, all of these elements go to insuring these chairs will all stand the test of time and hopefully take a precious place in your home.
Thanks for reading!
(I have been very kindly gifted a Darwin Chair from Cheeky Chairs, I would only ever work with brands and small businesses that I truly love)
